Also known as the ‘City of Seven Mountains’ and gateway to the fjords, Bergen presents a pretty medieval town, enchanting with its beautifully preserved, multi-coloured wooden houses set along the waterfront in Bryggen, a World Heritage Site. Other delights extend to travelling up the Fløibanen funicular to capture the picture-perfect panorama of the town and harbour atop Mount Fløyen and exploring the bustling fish markets.
